Finno Exergy Returns To The Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam

Finno Exergy is pleased to announce its return to the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam (ETCA), marking an important step in the company’s continued growth and commercial expansion in Northwest Europe. Having previously been part of the campus community in 2022, Finno Exergy now re-establishes its presence in an environment well suited for collaboration, innovation, and industry engagement.

The Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam, located in one of Europe’s leading energy hubs, brings together companies, researchers, and innovators working to accelerate the transition towards lower-emission energy systems. With its combination of office spaces, laboratories, and a strong network of industry partners, ETCA provides an ideal platform for companies developing advanced energy technologies to connect, test, and scale.

The decision to return to ETCA reflects both strategic and practical considerations. “Returning to ETCA is the right next step for us as we grow our business, expand commercially in Northwest Europe and need a place that allows us to meet customers more easily and develop our work further,” said Timo Erämaa, Co-founder and CEO of Finno Exergy. “ETCA offers a practical base with both lab and office space, that supports customer engagement and future opportunities for expansion.”

Finno Exergy’s return was formally marked at a welcoming ceremony hosted by ETCA, where CTO Fabio Ciccateri represented the company. As part of the ceremony, a plate bearing the Finno Exergy logo was installed alongside those of other resident companies, symbolizing the company’s renewed presence within the campus community.

In addition to its facilities, ETCA offers a collaborative ecosystem where companies can engage with potential customers, investors, and partners across the energy value chain. The return of Finno Exergy has also been warmly welcomed by the campus leadership.

“We are truly delighted to welcome Finno Exergy back to our campus,” said Sarah Street, Site Director of the Energy Transition Campus Amsterdam. “Their pioneering work in advancing gas turbine efficiency and enabling lower-emission energy systems fits perfectly with our mission. Their return strengthens our innovation community and we look forward to renewed collaboration and the impactful knowledge exchange ahead.”
